M·E·L is a unique and highly specialised research and consultancy practice,
designed specifically to help clients who want to develop better public services. We stand for
‘measurement, evaluation, learning’ – the three key principles
underlying modern public service excellence.
Our clients are the key people working in councils, health trusts, police, government
departments, businesses, community and voluntary organisations - the people who
have the vital and demanding job of improving and developing the UK’s public
services to a standard of excellence for the 21st century.
Our clients have some of the toughest jobs facing managers in the modern world. They are under constant pressure to use evidence to shape better services. The difference with M·E·L, when compared to conventional consultancies, is that we have custom build our services to meet these new challenges our clients face – becoming customer and user focussed, meeting the demands of the inspection regimes, using new performance management methods, working in multi-agency partnerships and trying to be innovative when there’s little time to breathe.
That’s why we have uniquely brought together the full package of expert
skills and competencies that can help you get the job done. We don’t just
do surveys - we can help you make sense of the results, evaluate the performance
of your services, and learn how to improve. We bring all that together within a modern and efficient performance management approach that keeps senior managers reassured and the inspection regimes satisfied.
